During the 2008 5th Annual Essence of Motown Literary Jam, many authors, organizations and publishers are having their events coincide with the conference.

1. Raising Donations for Journals and AA children books for Detroit Public School Children
The Motown Literary Network is calling for readers and writers to help. Our focus is to help Metro Detroit schools with supplies and much needed supplies that teachers are asking for. From October through November we are giving part of the proceeds that are giving to our literary conference on November 6 through 9th (http://essenceofmotown.com) to assist different schools with different needs.
